Officials say that a person who diedafter jumping in front of a Metro-North express train was a14-year-old high school student. The Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office called Akshay Menon's death an apparent suicide. He was a student at Scarsdale HighSchool. Superintendent of Schools Michael McGills calls the student'sdeath a "horrible tragedy." He says the district has a protocolto address such incidents. He says school psychiatrists areplanning to meet Monday to discuss how to proceed. Menon was killed Saturday night when he was struck by a trainnear the Scarsdale train station.
