(09/13/06) ELMSFORD - Three women in two different massage parlors were arrested Tuesday after allegedly offering to perform sexual acts on undercover cops.
Mi Ran Cho, of Flushing, is charged with prostitution after police say she offered sexual favors to an undercover police officer at Scarsdale Nail and Spa. The 37-year-old masseuse was arrested at the Scarsdale parlor as part of Greenburgh police?s routine inspections of massage, body works and health spas. In Elmsford, Darae 54 manager Yeon Sook Mulhall, 51, and 24-year-old Lina Li were arrested and charged with promoting prostitution and prostitution, respectively. Police say they released Cho on $250 bail, while Li and Mulhall were released on $500 bail each.
Community business owners expressed shock that prostitution parlors could exist in their towns. Scarsdale Nail and Spa remains open for business, while Darae 54 in Elmsford has closed its doors.
