Scammers are now going after those who are waiting for their new chip-embedded credit cards.
Investigators say scammers are now using this as an opportunity to send out fake emails telling users they need to update their credit card accounts, and asking for personal information.
A survey showed almost 60 percent of users have not received a new card.
Police say that people should contact their bank immediately if they receive these type of emails.
