The Dutchess County farm warns it has not approved any fundraising efforts at this time and to not engage with these phone calls.
If the farm does decide to participate in fundraising, it will post details on its social media and website.
Barton Orchards says people can help now by visiting the Apple Core on Noxon Road in Poughkeepsie and by booking a climb at Tree Top Adventures.
