The opening of Rye Playland remains uncertain this season as Westchester County officials navigate a legal dispute with operator Standard Amusements, county leaders said.
The county has taken control of the park and will open but a start date has not been set yet.
County Executive Ken Jenkins highlighted the county's investment. "The bottom line is that we know we have spent over $150 million of all of our money investing in Playland, so we know that investment will be well-maintained and move forward," Jenkins said.
Officials will provide updates on the season when possible.
