The Royal Regency Hotel in Yonkers recently marked 30 years in the hospitality business.
The property on Tuckahoe Road began as the original headquarters of Carvel Ice Cream. It later transformed into the Greek-American inspired boutique hotel.
Although the family-owned business had to shut down food services during the pandemic, it managed to survive the setbacks by becoming a safe haven for first responders.
For the next 30 years, the co-owners of
the hotel hope to continue growing their connection to the community.
“People want to come where there is warmth and love, family and hospitality. That's what we have here,” said executive vice president Maria Paxos-Pampafikos.
The hotel is celebrating the milestone with a 30% off promotion on May 30.
