Four firefighters were hospitalized after a three-alarm fire at a building in Newburgh on Saturday.
City of Newburgh Fire Chief F.J. Spinelli said the fast moving fire started just before 1 p.m.
"The efforts were severely hampered by the amount of personal belongings and debris in the apartment. It was hoarding conditions. They eventually got water on the fire. Now we're going to start doing our investigation," Spinelli said.
No serious injuries were reported.
The future of the people who lived in the building was uncertain as of Saturday evening.
