The Rockland County teacher who told her class that Santa Claus was not real has apologized for her remarks.
Leatrice Ann Eng, a second-grade teacher at Nanuet George Miller Elementary Schools, said she was sorry this weekend after the story became national news.
It started with a geography lesson, and when kids said the North Pole is where Santa lives.
The 58-year-old teacher reportedly responded he did not exist and that Christmas presents were bought by their parents.
The school superintendent has said his office is looking into the matter.
