Dozens of people celebrated Independence Day by protesting against high taxes and government spending in New City Saturday.
More than 100 people turned out for the Rockland Tea Party rally held in front of the Westchester County Courthouse. Participants signed petitions that will be sent to state and federal officials.
Some demonstrators also voiced their concerns over the government's decision to bail out private companies and financial institutions.
"I'm a small business owner, who's going to bail me out if I have a problem?" says Donald MacKenzie, of New City.
