The Rockland County Health Department is encouraging school districts to adopt Test-to-Stay policies supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The policy calls for certain guidelines to be followed to help keep students in schools instead of in quarantine.
Under the policy, unvaccinated students who were exposed to COVID-19 may still attend classes if they are symptom free, if the school has consent to have the student take daily tests and if the student continues to test negative throughout the approved testing time frame.
