Rockland County is welcoming a new director of consumer protection.
Kimberly Von Ronn will replace Jim Elcik who's retiring from the role.
Von Ronn is currently the principal assistant county attorney.
The change will take effect on Monday.
County Executive ED Day says Von Ronn was pivotal in developing and launching the county's new office of buildings and codes. He says he's confident she'll lead consumer protection with the same veracity.
