12ds agoA Rockland County organization is set to hold its first ever 5K fundraiser on Saturday morning.
Money raised at the "Meet Next Gen Foundation 5K Youth Stride - A Run For Change" event will go toward their back-to-school backpack giveaways, toy drives and more that support those in Spring Valley and beyond.
The organization is even helping to build a school in Uganda.
More than 50 runners had signed up as of Saturday evening, but they said they would like to see even more at the starting line.
The race will start at 9:15 a.m. at Eugene Levy Park in New City.
