A driver escaped serious injury after a rock fell from a hillside and crashed through a vehicle's windshield on the Taconic State Parkway in Mahopac.
Officials said the incident happened Wednesday morning between Bryant Pond Road and Peekskill Hollow Road.
Police said the rock struck the windshield, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a guardrail.
Despite the damage and crash, the driver suffered only minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
