A retired NYPD officer has been accused of drugging a woman in a Bronx bar and then raping her in a Greenburgh motel.
Police say 46-year-old Jose Arroyo used a "date-rape drug" to sedate and rape the woman. Police say Arroyo met the 31-year-old woman Nov. 14 in a Bronx barand drugged her drink. He then allegedly took her to Alexander's Motel on Tarrytown Road in Greenburgh.
According to Greenburgh police, the woman awoke the next morning and didn't know where she was and fled after grabbing a pair of keys she saw.
Arroyo will appear in Greenburgh Town Court again Tuesday. He is charged withsecond-degree kidnapping and first-degree rape. His bail was set at $200,000.
