A retired elementary school principal has won the largest jackpot in New York Lottery history.
Harold Diamond, 80, is the sole winner of $326 million.
The Wurtsboro man and his wife claimed their prize today at the Valero Gas Station on Route 302 in Middletown where they purchased the winning ticket back in November.
They opted to take the winning in a lump sum, which means they are taking home a net of $131 million.
Diamond says he hasn't decided exactly what to do with the money, but wants to take his wife of 55 years to Hawaii, help some family and the community.
