One person is recovering after being rescued from a hiking trail in Rockland County.

The Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps says the call came in around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Lake Sebago in Harriman State Park.

State Park Police and the Sloatsburg Fire Department joined Spring Hill SMS in the rescue.

Crews said the woods were muddy, wet and slippery because of melting snow. First responders removed the hiker from the trail.

The person was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. There is no word yet on their condition.
