Republican Marc Molinaro declared victory over Democrat Josh Riley in the 19th Congressional District.

Molinaro is the Dutchess County executive with a long history of public service. 

Riley, who didn't concede, issued a statement saying, "This has been a long campaign with many twists and turns and obstacles to overcome. So it's no surprise we find ourselves on Election Night without a declared winner. Our campaign will do what we've done every time we've faced a challenge — we'll take it head on. Our understanding from conversations with Board of Election officials is that we're down, but we're not out. We understand that there are an unknown number of absentee ballots to be counted and affidavit ballots to be processed. We want to be sure every voice is heard, and we are going to do that."

The district includes Sullivan, Ulster, and Dutchess counties.
