Report of possible marijuana grow house prompts road closure
Police, fire and hazmat crews responded to an apartment complex in Yonkers Tuesday for a possible marijuana grow house.
Yonkers emergency crews descended on the Crestwood Lake Apartments, located at 63 Beaumont Circle, Tuesday morning to investigate.
News 12 was told that when the landlord and city marshal entered a vacant apartment of a former tenant who was facing eviction, they found residue of liquids and alerted authorities.
The discovery prompted a road closure, and emergency crews called in.
Yonkers police say no drugs were found in the house, and no arrests have been made.
