News 12 learned Sunday night that Rep. Pat Ryan's office in Newburgh was vandalized.
A photo shows "war criminal" and "cease fire" were painted on the windows of his office.
Ryan has faced calls to stop supporting to fund for the war between Israel and Hamas.
In a statement, Ryan said in part that free speech is foundational to our democracy. However, he said vandalizing federal property is not free speech and it gets us no closer to lasting peace. Ryan added that he encourages every constituent to peacefully voice their opinion, which includes calling his office.
