Hudson Valley Rep. Pat Ryan is joining a growing list of lawmakers calling on the director of the Secret Service to resign.
It comes over a week since the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
On Monday, lawmakers grilled Secret Service Dir. Kimberly Cheatle with questions about shooting and the timeline. She ultimately declined to answer many of the questions due to the ongoing investigation.
Both Democrats and Republicans have been vocal about their questions and concerns, and Ryan joined the crowd Monday.
In a statement, Ryan said, “Director Cheatle’s inability to answer even basic questions on what went wrong that day is simply unacceptable.”
