Rep. Antonio Delgado has received his first dose of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine.

"I encourage everyone who is able to be vaccinated to do so as we look to protect each other and save lives," Delgado says.

Delgado, who serves the majority of Hudson Valley, says it is the duty of everyone to follow the advice of medical professionals to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

He says he will continue to wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash his hands frequently.
