Two separate recalls have been issued for products for children that may pose a lead poisoning hazard.
Bentex is recalling children's clothing sets in nine different Disney themed styles. The clothes violate of the federal lead paint and lead content ban. The clothes were sold at T.J. MAXX, DD's/Ross, Burlington, Army & Airforce Exchange Service and other stores nationwide, and online at Amazon from November 2021 through August 2022 for between $5 and $25.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled children's clothing sets away from children and contact Bentex for instructions on how to return or dispose of the recalled clothing to receive a full refund.
Also due to a lead poisoning hazard, Green Sprouts has recalled toddler's stainless steel bottles and sippy cups and sip and straw cups. They say the bottom base can break off, exposing a solder dot that contains lead, posing a lead poisoning hazard to the child.  Lead is toxic if ingested by young children, and can cause adverse health effects.
The firm has received seven reports of incidents of the bottles' base breaking off exposing the solder dot. No injuries have been reported. The items were sold at Buy Buy Baby and Whole Foods stores nationwide and online at Amazon and Bed Bath & Beyond.
from January 2020 through September 2022 for between $14 and $19.
