Over 4,500 pounds of beef jerky is being recalled because they are not USDA approved.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that there were no safety inspections of Tennessee Brown Bag Beef Jerky and thus the product could represent a danger.
The USDA says there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a health care provider.
Although there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions -- the USDA is urging you --- if you have this in your kitchen --- do not eat it.
Packages should be thrown away or returned.
