A car torched in Pomona overnight could be the work of an arsonist who has targeted other vehicles in nearby apartment complexes.

Officials say they received a call at around 3 a.m. Wednesday about a car fully engulfed in flames. Shortly after extinguishing the burning Jeep, fire officials received a call about another car fire in the same complex.

Residents in the Pomona Park complex say there have also been dumpster fires on the property. Officials responded last week to a car fire in a complex down the road from Pomona Park.

Police would not comment, saying it is an active investigation.
