Ramapo police are using drones to watch over students.

The department's new "Raptor" unit captured video of pilots monitoring school buses and bus stops during pick-up hours last week.

The initiative, launched to ensure a safe environment, ran from February 24 to 28, police said.

They noted the program has backing from the town supervisor and town board.
