A former Ramapo High School football coach and teacher has been found not guilty on assault charges.
Duffman Panell was accused of hitting one of his players, Brandon Girault, in the head, leaving him with a gash above his eye and a concussion.
Panell resigned his coaching position and has been under suspension by the school.
School officials say the next step for Panell is to contact the East Ramapo school district administration and indicate that he wants to be back.
