A runaway 10-year-old girl from Spring Valley is back home with her mother, but questions continue to surround her disappearance.
Spring Valley police and NYPD investigators have been talking with Kelly Rivera-Pillco after she didn't make it to school Monday morning. She was found Tuesday in Manhattan, and had taken a cab to get there.
Police have identified the cab company and driver, but they say they are still looking to speak with another as-of-yet unknown person.
"She told the cab driver that her father was down there. The father wasn't there," says Spring Valley Detective Robert Bookstein. "Somebody else was there and paid the cab fare."
Investigators do not believe that Rivera-Pillco's father was involved in her disappearance. So far, they say they don't believe any criminality is involved.
