Queens man arrested for stealing $52K cash and payroll checks from a vehicle in Yorktown

A Queens man has been charged with taking $52,000 in cash and payroll checks from a vehicle in Yorktown last month.
Police say the theft occurred last month when a business owner on Saw Mill River Road reported the money was taken from his car.
Last Thursday, police in an Albany suburb stopped a car being sought by Yorktown police.
One of the occupants was identified as the suspect from the alleged larceny.
