A Queens man was hospitalized in serious condition after a car crash in Orange County Thursday night.

State police say 19-year-old Andre Johnson, from Far Rockaway, was driving west on Route 17 in Goshen when he tried to change lanes and then struck a tree.

It is not clear why he lost control.

Johnson was taken to Garnet Health Medical Center.
