A lawyer in the race for Putnam County district attorney got some star-powered motherly love Tuesday in Mahopac to help his candidacy.
Adam Levy?s mother, TV?s ?Judge Judy,? helped her son kick off his campaign. Judy Sheindlin is known for her no-nonsense approach to justice on her TV show. She showed the same demeanor when she lent her support to her son. Levy is a partner in a Carmel law firm and lives with his family in the town of Southeast. The job of Putnam County district attorney is up for grabs because current District Attorney Kevin Wright isn't seeking re-election.
With a mother, stepfather and other relatives who are lawyers, Levy contends he's been familiar with legal issues since childhood. So far, Levy is the only candidate, but more are expected to throw their hat in the ring. For Judge Judy though, the next Putnam County DA is an open and shut case.
