Putnam County Sheriff’s Department encourages community vigilance following mass shooting in Maine

This comes after Robert Card, the suspect in the deadly Maine shooting, was found dead on Friday.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department reminded residents to stay vigilant in the aftermath of Wednesday’s mass shooting in Maine.

Sheriff Kevin J Mcconville released a statement, which said in part, “I want to emphasize the importance of staying vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity immediately. Your safety is our top priority, and we rely on your help to maintain a secure community."

The statement also encouraged residents to contact their office at 845-225-4300 if they notice unusual activity or have concerns about an individual’s behavior.

This comes after Robert Card, the suspect in the deadly Maine shooting, was found dead on Friday.
