A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Monday for Putnam and Rockland counties.
With record low temperatures expected in Putnam County, the trucks are already being fired up for whatever weather comes this way, including rain, sleet or snow.
Trucks, sand, and 7,000 tons of salt are also on standby.
Crews will also be keeping an eye on the road for icy conditions, although a freeze on the streets isn't expected.
