Public Service Commission closes investigation into Central Hudson billing system

An investigation into Central Hudson Gas & Electric has found its billing system issues have been resolved, according to a report from the New York Public Service Commission.
Central Hudson has been ordered to pay a total amount of over $62 million for billing system issues.
Officials from Central Hudson said errors customers experienced on their bills were due to a rough transition to a new billing system, and roughly 300 accounts were impacted.
Central Hudson said in a statement that it has worked tirelessly to strengthen transparency, including hiring over 100 new staff members to better assist customers.
