News 12 visited the posh Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach Thursday to learn about the childhood of millionaire Ben Novack Jr., who was murdered at the Hilton Rye Town nearly three weeks ago.
The hotel where Novack grew up opened in 1954, becoming one of the world's most glamorous playgrounds for celebrities and politicians.
Sources says Novack, known then as Benji, was pampered and driven to school in a limousine.
Novack, however, later admitted that his upbringing was bizarre and lonely. In 1977, Novack's father lost the Fontainebleau. Years later, Novack Jr. declared his father mentally incompetent so he could handle what remained of the family fortune.
