Poughkeepsie police probe weekend robbery, fight and shooting incidents

Poughkeepsie police are seeking suspects involved in three separate incidents over the weekend.

Authorities say two men repeatedly struck a victim with a baseball bat just after midnight Friday on Main Street.

They proceeded to take a bag containing cash and other items from the victim, according to police.

The victim was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Officers were then notified of gunfire around 90 South Hamilton Street just before 4 a.m. Saturday.

Police say they found multiple shell casings at the scene.

The final incident was a fight reported on Main Street just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Officers at the scene found an unconscious man bleeding from his head.

He was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
