John Palmer of Poughkeepsie has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

Under a negotiated sentence, Palmer will get six months' time served in Dutchess County Jail and was released on a one-year interim probation.

Prosecutors plan to recommend an additional five to 10 years of probation and registration on the sex offender registry when Palmer is sentenced next year.
