For the past year, Starbucks customers waiting for their lattes at the Garden State Parkway's Jon Bon Jovi Service Area have stood next to a column bearing a larger-than-life image of Bergen County native and actor Ed Harris. It also bears a quote attributed to him stating, "Acting is like scoring a touchdown."
More than a few visitors have been puzzled by the strange quote. The website Defector recently reported part of the reason why - Harris never said it. It turns out that the quote is a badly mangled paraphrasing of a line he did give about his decision to become an actor.
The quote was removed this week. But as News 12's Brian Donohue reports, there are still errors and misquotes remaining around the rest stop.
On today's "Brian's Positively New Jersey,” Brian takes a look at a rest stop redesign that could have used a fact checker or copy editor.
