Tap water in a Port Chester community that had been contaminated Friday after work crews damaged an asbestos concrete water main has once again been deemed safe for consumption.
United Water lifted the "do not use" advisory for more than 20 homes along Pilgrim Drive.
The Westchester County Department of Health had told residents not to drink, cook with, brush teeth, bathe or wash clothes with the water through Sunday. Work crews gave out jugs of water to affected residents in the meantime.
The water has now been cleared for all purposes.
