Port Chester girl makes it to 2024 McDonald's All-American Basketball Game

Kayleigh Heckel said she cried when she found out she made the final cut for the game. She will play in it with two of her teammates.

Port Chester's Kayleigh Heckel is one of 24 girls who were chosen for this year's McDonald's All-American Basketball Game.
Kayleigh plays for powerhouse Long Island Lutheran.
She received her official All-American game jersey at a school assembly.
Kayleigh said she cried when she found out she made the final cut for the game. She will play in it with two of her teammates.
"I knew I was a McDonald's All-American, but seeing the jersey just made it seem real and it's just like... makes us so much happier to represent our school," she said.
The McDonald's All-American Basketball Game will be on April 2 in Houston.
