If you're thinking of retiring anytime soon, you might not want to do it in New York.
A new survey from the website WalletHub ranks the Empire State as the 48th best state to retire - in which is third worst in the country.
The score-based list is made up of three categories - affordability, quality of life and healthcare.
Florida, Virginia and Colorado make up the top three. Coming in last was New Jersey.
New York did come in first place as having the most museums and theaters per capita, and it came in third behind Hawaii and California and highest life expectancy.
News 12’s posted its own poll on retirement plans and asked people are where do they plan on going? Here are the results:
• A majority said anywhere but New York.
• Only 24% said they would stay here.
• 32% said they'll be going somewhere warmer.
