A Yonkers man was arrested after driving into a home in New jersey on Sunday and attempting to flee until a neighbor caught and detained him.
Police say a resident in the area chased down Anthony Deleon, 37, after he crashed his 2005 Acura TSX into a home on Hazel Street near the Garden State Parkway. The resident was able to detain Deleon on West Seventh Street, police say.
None of the people in the home were injured, according to police. They say the home sustained significant damage to an exterior wall, as well as the foundation. The Clifton Building Department was contacted to inspect the structure.
Deleon was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and transported to a local hospital. Authorities say he refused to let staff draw blood for a blood alcohol test.
Deleon faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated and several motor vehicle violations. His vehicle was impounded by Clifton police.
