A Yonkers man, William Day, faces charges after striking and killing a pedestrian on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx on Monday.
According to police, Day was driving southbound when he hit a 40-year-old man crossing the highway.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Day has been charged with driving without a license and refusing to take a breath test.
The incident remains under investigation.
