Authorities say that a violent incident originally reported as a stabbing on Vyse Avenue Friday, was actually a shooting. 

According to investigators, Candido Lopez got into a brief argument with two men in the back of Los Hermanos Deli in West Farms. They say one of those men re-entered the store a few minutes later with a gun, and shot the 52-year-old twice. 

Police say they have surveillance video from the scene, and are still looking for the suspect. 

Family members sent News 12 a picture of Lopez from Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is now in stable condition.
