After a foot chase though neighboring yards, police Tasered a burglary suspect in Pelham Manor Tuesday.
Police say the two suspects, 17-year-old Jorge Moreno and 19-year-old David Piedrahita, of Queens, hit two homes in the area looking for electronics. At the time of the arrest, police found jewelry, watches and a digital camera in their possession. Both teens were arraigned on burglary charges Wednesday.
Neighbors who saw the chase say they heard police order Moreno to get down and freeze, but he kept running, leaping over a stone wall on Pelhmdale Avenue before being Tasered.
?We were able to flush him out," says Sgt. Chris McAvoy. "Obviously, knew we were on to him. He was trying to get away, [but] fortunately, we got the burglar."
Officials say both Moreno and Pedrahita have criminal records in New York City.
The two teens are due in court Thursday. Police are searching for two more suspects they believe were involved in the crime.
