Clarkstown police say a swastika was painted on a vehicle in West Nyack.

Police responded to a parking lot at 2 Centerock Road in West Nyack around 6 p.m. on Thursday.

They found a swastika painted on the hood of a Tesla. The owner said he had parked his vehicle earlier in the day. Police say it appears to be a random act of criminal mischief.

Town Supervisor George Hoehmann called the behavior reprehensible and said it has no place in the town.
