Peekskill police are searching for the driver involved with a hit and run accident that occurred on Monday night.

Police say the driver hit the 79-year-old male victim at around 10 p.m. on Howard Street near Pugsley Park.

Authorities say the driver did not stop and rushed from the scene.

The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. Police have not stated how he is doing.
