Police: Somers National Golf Club employee stole thousands during multiple incidents
Police began their investigation on July 25, after they learned David Chung stole a total of $4,800 from two people after he claimed the money was needed to repair damage they had caused at the club, the day before an event was scheduled to take place.

An employee at the Somers National Golf Club has been accused of stealing from his employer multiple times, state police say.
David Chung, who was employed as a restaurant manager, was arrested Friday and charged with burglary, criminal mischief and grand larceny.
Police began their investigation on July 25, after they learned Chung stole a total of $4,800 from two people after he claimed the money was needed to repair damage they had caused at the club, the day before an event was scheduled to take place.
Police say they responded to the club the next day for a reported larceny after nearly $12,000 in business proceeds was discovered missing.
On July 30, police returned to the returned to the property for a reported burglary. Police say Chung forced his way into the clubhouse and stole more than $2,600 in checks and cash, as well as multiple golf bags containing clubs and other equipment valued at $9,500.
Chung was arraigned following his arrest.
