Police: Shot fired during Yonkers assault; no one struck by bullet

At least two men allegedly jumped and pistol-whipped another man. At the end of the assault, police say one of the suspects fired a shot.

A shot was fired in Yonkers Wednesday evening near the intersection of South Broad and Highland, police say.

They say the shot fired stemmed from an assault that took place around 5:30 p.m.

At least two men allegedly jumped, and pistol-whipped another man. At the end of the assault, police say one of the suspects fired a shot.

Police tell News 12 no one was struck by the shot.

The victim of the assault is being evaluated at a hospital for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
