Orangetown police are searching for the suspect involved in a hit-and-run Sunday morning in Pearl River.

The incident happened just after 2 a.m. on East Central Avenue.

Police say a car hit a pedestrian who was crossing the street.

The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Witnesses at the scene told police the car involved was a late model four-door black sedan.
