Mount Pleasant police are looking for the person who abandoned, abused and neglected a dog in Valhalla.
Roxy was found tied up outside the Valhalla Animal Hospital on June 17 at 6:30 a.m.
Surveillance video shows a woman taking her out of her silver minivan, tying the dog up and taking off. She has a noticeable bald spot on the top of her head.
Katrina Wright says the dog was brought to the Aussie Day Spa in Valhalla two weeks ago. She said the dog's hair was matted to the point that she couldn't see or hear.
Her paws were also swollen and raw, and someone zapped the dog with an anti-bark collar so many times that it burned through a layer of skin on her neck.
Roxy has already found a new home. It turned out that there was a purebred schnauzer hiding under 50 pounds of matted hair.
